Why this will be the summer of Bond

Well, I finally did it.

As of two minutes ago, I have acquired EVERY BROCCOLI BOND FILM (which means not the David Niven comedic Casino Royale and not the crapfest Thunderball remake Never Say Never Again). It has taken many years and a lot of looking ( thanks to my Gamestop buddy Jeff who put a bunch of trade-ins aside for me, Sandi for buying four of them for my birthday three years ago and Kevin for spotting On Her Majesty's Secret Service), but it is done. Now comes the fun part.

As soon as A View to a Kill arrives on my doorstep, I will be watching all 22 Bond movies in order from Dr. No to Quantum of Solace. After each one, I will be posting reviews on this blog (and I am damn determied to keep up). The reviews will be ona scale from 1 to 10 and higlight the pros and cons of each movie. After all 22 have been viewed, I will order them in personal preference.

Now, truthfully, I have seen most of these already. The few I know I have not seen in their entirety are Dr. No, You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and Octopussy. All of the others I have seen, but don't have a truly clear memory of them, henceforth the marathon.

Every summer I try to do two things; one is improve something in my house, and the other is to do something stupid and selfish for myself. Guess which one this is????

I should have a review of Dr. No posted before the weekend is out. Maybe I'll drink a martini for each movie as well... Happy 4th of July everyone, and wish me (and my poor family) luck!
